Chihilsitoon, meaning "Forty pillars", is an area in southern Kabul, Afghanistan, part of District 7. It is named after the Chihilsitoon Palace, a garden that was originally built by Amir Abdur Rahman Khan at the end of the 19th century. It was heavily damaged by civil war and laid in ruins for years, before it was fully rebuilt to its former glory by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture in mid-2018.
A 9-year program funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by Aga Khan Cultural Services – Afghanistan (AKCS-A).
